Ndejje University Scorpions showed no mercy to Gen. Katumba Wamala boys and girls as they defeated them 29-28 and 23-19 respectively in the national handball league games at Nkumba University on Saturday.

The Scorpions, who last week lost 29-20 to Prisons Lady Spears, put up a convincing fight and could not afford losing any more.

 "We were focused and wanted to prove that last weekend's defeat was just bad luck. That is why we came to win this game," said Namayo Mawerere, Ndejje University publicity official.

In the men's category, Ndejje University Scorpions successfully avenged their first round defeat againt UPDF when they turned tables around and beat them 29-28.

The defeat dented UPDF’s title chase as they have been neck-to-neck with defending champions Prisons Spears who are yet to lose a game.

In the other games, Police Metro defeated Kifaru 28-24 while the Kakungulu versus Ever Green was postponed.

The League Continues at Nkumba University.
