ALLAN Muhereza continued with his fine form returning 68 nett to win the Entebbe Golf Club September mug tournament at Entebbe Club on Saturday.
The handicap 5 golfer who last week won the men’s group A in the Chairman’s cup tournament beat over 200 golfers to the top prize and also helped the Entebbe team beat their visiting Kigali Golf Club members by a 32 stroke difference (717-798).
Entebbe Club other top performers included Ali Juuko, Henry Lujja, Moses Ssebugwawo, Charles Kabunga, Daniel Opwonya, Pamela Tumusiime, Agnes Namutebi, Paul Nsereko and Alex Nkuyahaga.
Rwanda’s top ten players included John Thiru, Joseph Barame, James Ndikumana, Kelly Doran, Louis Kamanzi, Afrodis Nyirikwaya, Ken Murichu, Aloys Nsabimana, Arthur .B and Emma Rutayisire.
Meanwhile in Kampala Ibra Bagalana who recently won the Chairman’s cup in Entebbe returned 41 points to add the Gaddies and Lentlemen tournament at Kitante onSaturday.
Michael Oballim (46pts), Charles Katarikawe (44pts) and Kim Dongik (42pts) were the top players in the men groups A-C respectively while Flavia Namakula (33pts), Rose Azuba (28pts), and Mary Ochieng (28pts) won the ladies’ categories.
Earlier on Friday golfers raised over sh20m in the annual Breast Cancer Fundraising Golf Tournament held at the Uganda Golf Club.
