GODFREY Lwesibawa scored a penalty as SC Villa defeated ten man Lweza 1-0 at Wankulukuku Stadium to register their second win in the Azam Uganda Premier League. Former Uganda Cranes star Nestroy Kizito was sent off after two bookable offences.
At Luzira Prison grounds, Maroons lost 1-0 to Soana. Steven Bengo scored for Soana while Police beat Sadolin Paints 2-1 at Kavumba Recreation Grounds. Hood Kaweesa and Ronald Nyanzi were on target for Police while Peter Katumba scored a consolation goal for Sadolin Paints.
In Mutagga, home side Bright Stars played to 1 all draw with Express at the Champion Stadium. Caesar Okhuti put Express in the lead before Cocas Openjo equalized for Bright Stars. JMC Hippos drew 0-0 with the Saints at Kakindu.
Elsewhere, Sport Club Victoria University (SCVU) lost 2-1 to Vipers at Namboole Stadium. Farouk Miya and Deus Bukenya scored for Buikwe based side while Petit Warnock was on target for SCVU.
At Nakivubo, KCCA defeated Simba 2-1 in a game that had a minute of silence before kickoff in the memory of Internal Affairs Minister the late Gen. Aronda Nyakairima.
Martin Mugabi handed Simba the lead in the first half before Muzamir Mutyaba and Tom Masiko scored for KCCA in the second half. Mutyaba also missed a penalty.
