Rugby fans will on Saturday join  Sadolin Mongers Rugby Club and Entebbe community in a mini marathon to raise funds for the construction of their rugby play ground.

The 5km and 10km race in Entebbe is  meant to raise sh80m for the pitch in  Busambaga in Entebbe.

Club chairman Kigongo Ssebalamu told Saturday Vision that  they have graded the pitch but that they need sh80m to set up dressing rooms, washrooms, a club house and a fitness room.

Mongers acquired the 2 acre piece of land from Entebbe Municipal Council through a public private partnership.

"We are acquired 2 acres of land and also the United Nations gave us 2 containers which we intend to put in a Gym and  dressing rooms," Ssebalamu stated.

After finishing  their pitch, the club will shift from the Entebbe Secondary School  ground which they are currently sharing with school.

Entebbe Mayor Vincent Kayanja will be the chief runner.
