Kilak MP Olanya appears in court, pleads not guilty

Kilak Member of Parliament Gilbert Olanya pleaded not guilty to charges of threatening and incitement of violence on Thursday at Amuru magistrate''s court.

Kilak Member of Parliament Gilbert Olanya pleaded not guilty to charges of threatening and incitement of violence on Thursday at Amuru magistrate's court.

He was however released on a cash bail of sh500, 000 and ordered to return to the court on October 10, 2015. His sureties included Bernard Atiku, Ayivu County MP, Akol Anthony, an ex-MP and Lucy Akello, the Amuru MP.

Prosecutors allege that on March 5, 2015, Olanya threatened Anthony Atube Omac, the LC 5 chairman of Amuru with violence.
