Rwenshama demoted from FUFA Big League

Rwenshama has been demoted from the FUFA Big League to the Regional League for failure to submit requirements for club registration and licensing ahead of the 2015/2016 new season that kicks off on September 17.

Rwenshama has been demoted from the FUFA Big League to the Regional League for failure to submit requirements for club registration and licensing ahead of the  2015/2016 new  season  that kicks off on  September 17.


Rwenshama who also failed to appeal to the FUFA Appeals Committee were relegated to the third division league.

However, twenty out of the 26 FUFA Big league clubs were confirmed to have acquired 2015/16 club licenses ahead of the new season.

Six clubs failed to meet the earlier deadline set but appealed except Rwenshama. CRO, Artland, Kira Young, Hope Doves and Entebbe F.C await a decision by the FUFA Appeals Committee.

The confirmation was made by the Chairperson of the FUFA club licensing committee, Dr Benard Patrick Ogwel during the weekly press conference at Mengo, Kampala on Wednesday.

Only Kirinya Jinja S.S and Ndejje University were granted full licenses as the rest are issued with provisional licenses up to mid-season.

Fully licensed clubs:

Kirinya Jinja S.S and Ndejje University.

Clubs issued with provisional licenses:

Lira United, Paidha Black Angels, Kasese New Villa, Synergy, Busia Fisheries, Wakiso United, Wandegeya, Kireka United, Proline, Citizen, Masaka LC, Baza Holdings FC, Onduparaka, Booma Young, Sporting United , Masavu FC, Bukedea Town Council and Water FC.​
