The Constitutional Court has set a date on which it will deliver its ruling on whether it will temporarily release Tabliq leader Amir Ummah Muhammad Yunus Kamoga and eight others

The Constitutional Court has set a date on which it will deliver its ruling on whether it will temporarily release Tabliq leader Amir Ummah Muhammad Yunus Kamoga and eight others.


Kamoga and the eight co-accused petitioned the constitutional court seeking temporary release from prison pending their trial.

Muslim Tabliq leader, Sheikh Muhammad Yunus Kamoga; Sheikh Siraji Kawooya, Sheikh Yusuf Kakande, Imam Abdul salaam  Ssekayanja; Twaha Ssekito Ssematimba; Rashid Jingo and Abdul Hamid  Ssematimba and Multa Bukenya  waves to relatives as  being taken back to Luzira .This was on September 3, 2015. Others petitioners are: Sheikhs Murta Mudde, Twaha Sekayanja, Yusuf Kakande, Siraje Kawooya, Abdul Hamid Mubiru, Rashid Jingo, Sulaiman Kayanja and Fahad Kalungi.

 country with the intent to intimidate the public or sections of the Muslim faith and for a political, religious, social or economic aim involved themselves in attacks towards Shiite and the alleged former Tabliq Muslims which resulted in the murder of nine prominent sheikhs.
