USE comes of age with an automated trading system

It has been a long time coming but finally, the wait is over. The Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) is now officially trading using an Internet enabled automated trading system.

It has been a long time coming but finally, the wait is over. The Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) is now officially trading using an Internet enabled automated trading system. This marks a deserved end to the outdated ‘open outcry’ trading system. Uganda now joins an elite club of securities exchanges such as the Nairobi Securities Exchange, the Johannesburg Securities Exchange and others in Europe, Asia and the US that are already reaping the benefits that come with automated trading
