Bukedde marked 21 years since its maiden publication on August 29, 1994.

Bukedde, Uganda's leading vernacular newspaper under Vision Group, marked 21 years since its maiden publication on August 29, 1994.

The anniversary ceremony kicked off with a thanksgiving prayer led by the Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo-Luwalira at Vision Group head office on August 28, 2015.

The Bukedde newspaper gave rise to other media platforms including Bukedde TV and Bukedde Radio(Bukedde Fa Ma Embuutikizi). Bukedde TV went on the airwaves for the first time on October 28, 2009.
