Magumba calls time on illustrious playing career

Hakim Mugamba finally hang up his boots with a testimonial match at Nakivubo on Saturday.The former SC Villa player thanked everyone who helped him during his illustrious playing career that lasted 20 years.

Hakim Mugamba finally hang up his boots with a testimonial match at Nakivubo on Saturday.

The former SC Villa player thanked  everyone who helped him during his illustrious playing career that lasted 20 years.

During the game , Friends of Magumba lost to current SC Villa Jogoo 4-0 and 3-2 to Ex-Internationals 3-2. Magumba scored two goals in the last game.

The player who was nicknamed 'boda boda' by Villa fans for his speed also played for Iganga, Kira Young and Rwandan side Atraco. He won seven league titles, four Kakungulu Cup trophies, two CECAFA titles, one Hedex, Tusker and Castle Cup titles.

He won the Uganda Cup with Villa last season. He also represented Uganda in the Youth Championships in Ethiopia in 1996​
