The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) was established by the Uganda Communications Act, 2013
1. The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) was established by the Uganda Communications Act, 2013. Among its functions as regulator of the communications sector including broadcasting, UCC is responsible for setting standards, monitoring and enforcing compliance relating to radio and television content that is broadcast in Uganda. To strengthen the execution of this role, UCC has allocated funds to be used for acquisition of two additional broadcast content monitoring systems.
