Health workers in Bushenyi/Ishaka municipality have gone on a strike protesting inconsistencies in salaries.

With clinical coats on shoulders, the medics on Monday morning converged at Bushenyi health centre IV and later marched to municipal council offices to seek for an explanation.

The patients at Bushenyi health centre IV were left stranded with nobody to attend to them.

The pregnant women who had gone there for antenatal care services were stranded in the maternity ward.
Both the admitted and out-patients remained unattended.

The in-charge Dr Ninsiima Viola said: “It’s beyond my powers because I have talked to them (health workers) but they seemed unsatisfied.”  More details in Tuesday's New Vision
