Bayimba festival spices up Gulu

Gulu revelers were last Saturday treated to an exciting entertainment provided by different performers. This was during the annual Bayimba festival held at Taks centre in Gulu with local, national and international performances.

Gulu revelers were last Saturday treated to an exciting entertainment provided by different performers.  This was during the annual Bayimba festival held at Taks centre in Gulu with local, national and international performances.
 
Artists such as Coco Finger, Lucky Bosmick Joyce Otim, John Oweka, Pamela Peace, David Dogo, and Janet Prisca entertained the revelers to stunning beats that went through to midnight. 
 
Golden Gate band were also among the entertainers who made up the evening and night with live performances.
 
The revelers were also treated to a spectacular performance by the Breathe Worldwide fire dancers and acrobats as well as the National Solid Youths team break-dancers. 
 
Also noticeable was the fashion show by Gulu models which took place at the Uchumi building. 
 
The Bayimba International Festival of the Arts was founded by the Bayimba Cultural Foundation to increase the appreciation of Uganda’s finest artists.

The festival runs annually. 
 
Bayimba has become an important event on the Ugandan social calendar and is a revolutionary platform for renowned and up-coming artists from the African continent. 
 
Over the past six years, Bayimba has developed into a major multi-arts festival with varied and quality programming with innovative and creative ideas. 
 
The festival is eagerly anticipated by locals while artists and visitors from all over the world pour in to take advantage of this unique art experience.
