Well aware that rugby 7s requires explosiveness, fitness, speed and endurance of players, the national sevens team coach has sought the services of the national sprinter Ali Ngaimoko as his side prepares for the Commonwealth Games In Glasgow Scotland in July.

Tolbert Onyango told the New Vision that calling Ngaimoko to handle the boys will help them improve on their speed and explosiveness that is still wanting in the players.

“Yes you can’t be an expert in all fields and that why I called my longtime friend Ngaimoko to help me in that area,” Onyango stated.

“What I want is to take a competing team in the Commonwealth Games that will be third in Africa to South Africa and Kenya and I’m confident we can make it,” Onyango stressed before adding that the move has worked.
