KCCA Football Club left Wankulukuku wondering what had hit them after a shock defeat by struggling Entebbe.

Nasser Muzamir scored the all-important goal as the Lugogo side crashed to their first FUFA Super League defeat since December.

The win boosted Entebbe’s battle to survive relegation. They however remain in the drop zone in 13th position.

Six time champions Express, who were knocked out of the Uganda Cup by Hope Soana on Tuesday, are level with Entebbe at 19 points in the league but a place better on goal difference.

In the day’s other league game, Bright Stars drew with Proline at Nakivubo. Hassan Kikoyo gave Bright Stars the lead before Hood Kawere equalized.

The Red Eagles who are struggling in the league suffered the biggest shock in the knock out competition.

They were shown the exit in the round of 16 by Hope Soana.

Express started off strongly with Willy Kavuma narrowly missing in the first half. But after normal play, the score was 1-1 before their little known opponents soared to a 7-6 win in spot kicks.

Big league side Wandegeya also caused a surprise by ambushing Masaka. The competition also turned sour for record league champions SC Villa were knocked out by BUL.
