Police in Ntungamo are holding one of their own for allegedly arming a local defense unit (LDU) personnel who used the gun to kill a person he had picked a quarrel with over a football match.

Police in Ntungamo are holding one of their own for allegedly arming a local defense unit (LDU) personnel who used the gun to kill a person he had picked a quarrel with over a football match.

 
Josia Kasimba the Police officer in charge Kitwe police post allegedly gave Alex Tumusingize a gun which he used to shoot dead Frederick Ayinebyona.
 
According to eye witnesses, Tumusingize threatened to shoot Ayinebyona after a quarrel over Chelsea’s goal against Manchester city last Monday. Tumusingize moved out of the video hall, picked a gun from the police post just across the road only to return and shoot dead his nemesis.
 
The Ntungamo district Police commander, Baker Kawonawo confirmed Kasimba’s arrest. He said Tumusingize is still on the run.
