NEMOSTARS men’s volleyball club has launched a fund-raising campaign for sh110m needed to compete in the African Clubs Championships.
The Ugandan champions are due to compete in the continental championship due in Tunisia between March 18-30, 2014.
While launching the fund-raising campaign for the championship for their second time after making a debut last year, team manager Safina Nagayi said that the club was looking for air-tickets and upkeep among other requirements.
She said that the club’s annual championship - the Nemo Duu and other activities would be used to raise money for the trip.
“We shall have dinners, luncheons and promotions of nights for two in Serena and City Royal Hotels to raise money for the club. But the Nemo Duu is meant to attract fans and (prospective) supporters to watch the team,” Nagayi explained yesterday.
The invitational one-day Nemo Duu is slated for Saturday at Nemostars home at Kololo Primary School ground.
