A group of Makerere University students on Wednesday demonstrated at the university over missing names on the graduation list.

According to the Guild president, Ann Adeke, 30 students have been left out from this year’s graduation list

The aggrieved students say they cleared tuition and passed all subjects from the first to the final year as required, but their names were left out.

They stormed the Senate building, demanding an explanation, why their names were not on the graduation list displayed at the Senate. They have vowed to pitch camp at the University until their grievances are resolved.

Makerere University is set to graduate at least 12, 616 students in her 64th graduation ceremony slated to take place from Tuesday January 28 to Friday January 31 2014.
