Man nabs wife plotting to elope with landlord

A married woman who had planned to introduce her landlord at her parents' home on Saturday was cut short when her incensed husband plucked her out of a saloon preparing for the 'big day'.

Ddirisa Katende,27, of Kinaawa, Nsangi sub county, who accused his wife of fleecing him of his hard earned money to satisfy her pleasures dragged the woman, Sumaiya Nammande to Nateete police.true

Katende, who plies his trade in South Sudan, said he had sent his wife sh5m to bank on his account but was tipped by neighbours that she was planning to introduce the landlord to her parents in Mityana.

Katende (right) told the Police that indeed when he went to his home he found the house locked and the woman told him she was not around.

"I was compelled to go to her friend in Kabaawo where I found her in a saloon preparing herself for the introduction.

When I asked her where she had put my money she said it was not there so I called the Police to arrest her," Katende said.

Nammande on her part told the Police that she had not seen her husband in two months so she decided to replace him with one that is available to her.

She further accused him of not fulfilling his marital duties.

The drama however took a twist when the landlord's wife, got wind of the fracas and rushed to police with their wedding photo as proof that he was her husband.

The Nateete police boss, John Mwaule said Nammande would be charged with theft on file number SD:45/06/12/2013.
