Ugandan woman deported over commercial sex

A Ugandan woman has been beaten up and deported to Uganda after she was found indulging in commercial sex in the South Sudan town of Torit.

ARUA - A Ugandan woman has been beaten up and deported to Uganda after she was found indulging in commercial sex in the South Sudan town of Torit.


Joyce Atimango, was flogged by Ssouth Sudan police and was consequently deported to Elegu border town .Atimango was renting a house in a residential area of Torit town to aid her commercial sex business.

Atimango is one of the women who were deported by South Sudanese authorities last month for indulging in commercial sex, but she returned to Torit for the same business.

Atimango is said to have been in the same business for the last 15 years.

At the time of deportation to Elegu border post South Sudanese police warned Atimango not to return to South Sudan lest she will face the law.
