KCCA forward Herman Wasswa is back in town and should provide some ‘firepower’ to his side when they take on URA in a FUFA Super League fixture in Lugazi.

During the time Wasswa has been away attending trials in Vietnam, KCCA have been virtually toothless considering that striker Tony Odur has also been out battling an injury.

They lost to Proline at Lugogo and drew against Express and BIDCO.

However, the return of Wasswa should offer KCCA coach George Nsimbe relief. Nsimbe is expected to partner Wasswa with Julius Ogwang in Lugazi this afternoon.

“Ogwang has good work rate and with Herman now back the goals will come through. Wasswa has been doing well in training. We were playing without a finisher. Our striking problem is now partially solved which brings some relief,” Nsimbe stated.

KCCA, who are five points behind table leaders Vipers (29 points) with two games in hand, are capable of reclaiming top position.

“The league is a marathon which is won in the second round. We can get to the top of the table but we simply want to wind up the first round not more than two points behind the leader,” Nsimbe stated.

The Lugogo side will miss Brian Majwega and Ayub Kizza who are with the Cranes in Nairobi for the CECAFA Challenge Cup.

URA lying in sixth position on 23 points, just one place below KCCA need to win this encounter to surge ahead on the table.
