NDEJJE Elites will storm the MTN Arena, Lugogo in a celebratory mood when they take on KAVC women in Game Three of the volleyball league playoffs on Wednesday night.
Ndejje lead the best of five series 2-0 and another victory tonight will see them retain the national women volleyball league title.
But going by their progressive performance in the first two series, KAVC coach Hannington Nsubuga is plotting something different altogether.
KAVC lost the first game of the series in straight sets but fought from two sets down in the second game before losing 3-2 and he has insisted that his side will manage to overcome the deficit.
“We are more focused than we were in the first two games. I pray that their seventh player (referee) does not win for them again,” Nsubuga said in reference to officiation mistakes by referees in game two.
Noted, but KAVC’s Irene Adeke, Josephine Nammanda, Gloria Nantege and Rachael Mugabi will need to consistently display superior blocks which appeared to frustrate Ndejje in game two by their own submission.
Ndejje coach Johnson Kawenyera has had to spend his time preaching focus and caution among his players and he expects a consistent performance if they are to cut the campaign short with a win tonight.
