A tribunal has cleared the process for the removal of the Kampala City Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, on grounds of abuse of office, incompetence, misconduct and misbehaviour.
The tribunal was tasked to establish whether the allegations in the councillors’ petition satisfy the grounds for Lukwago’s removal from office.
Chaired by Justice Catherine Bamugemeriere, the tribunal handed over the report to minister in charge of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Frank Tumwebaze on Thursday.
