Pastor William Muwanguzi popularly known as "Kiwedde" has appeared in court on charges of impersonation.

Muwanguzi with his co-accused Julius Mukasa appeared before Bbosa Lutalo, the Kalisizo Grade II Magistrate.

In a fully-packed courtroom, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and they were remanded to Kalisizo Prison until November 26, 2013.
Although Muwanguzi changed his name to Paul Mwamba in 2010 claiming to be Kenyan, he has been charged as William Muwanguzi.

The accused had no sureties for bail and a bodaboda cyclist identified as Hassan Muweesi who volunteered to stand as surety lacked proper documentation.

Prosecution led by Mariam Akite also told court that Muweesi was not keen at all about the Muwanguzi and Mukasa's permanent residence.
