Ndejje boosted their ambitions to conclude the 2013 University Football League in the top five on the table when they coasted to a 3-1 home win over Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Luwero over the weekend.

Tournament top scorer Siraje Musindo put the visitors ahead but Stephen Kateregga, Michael Owiny and an own goal by Ibrahim Gubya is all Ndejje needed to win and raise their tally to 16 points, a point below KIU in fifth place.

Ndejje returns to action against KIU and a win should be enough for them to venture in the top five.

Despite MUST remaining glued at the bottom of the table, Musindo took his goals tally to 14.

Before the game against MUST, Ndejje coach Raymond Komakech had made his side’s intentions clear.

They were in need of a victory that would boost their position on the table in their bid to finish above defending champions Makerere. He had therefore warned the visitors not to expect any good result from Ndejje.

“My team is stronger and playing better. We hope to continue our good form on Saturday and Mbarara should have not a chance,” Komakech had said, just after his charges had gone down 2-1 in their away encounter against Makerere.
