East and Central Africa super lightweight champion Solomon Bogere is being lined up for a World Boxing Council (WBC) international fight.

The only challenge for ‘King Solomon’ Bogere lies in winning the vacant Africa Super Lightweight title against Malawian Osgood Kayuni on November 16.

A win will earn the Ugandan a chance of featuring on the international stage under Champion Boxing Management, an organization led by former Ugandan professional Justine Juuko in USA.

Uganda Sports Promotion in conjunction with Jukbox Production are the organisers of the upcoming fi ght.

Ugandan promoter and match-maker Abbey Mugayi says a big opportunity is staring at Bogere.

“We have already been assured of a WBC international by promoters in USA. All Bogere needs is to beat Mayuni,” Mugayi stated on Thursday during the launch of the fight.

Bogere, who knocked out Tanzania’s Muhammad Abdalah in March will march into the fi ght with a record of 23 fi ghts with 20 wins, two draws and a loss.

The Malawian has 16 fi ghts with 14 wins, seven Kos and 1 loss. The 12-round fi ght is among the eight bouts lined up by Uganda Sports Promotion for the grand show at Lugogo indoor stadium.

Among the undercards is a national superwelterweight showdown between Dragon Kidega and Waibale ‘Bullet’ Akim.
