Pastor Wilson Bugembe, a celebrated gospel singer, launched yet another successful gospel single Ngambila akawaalaako at Equatorial Gardens.

The gates opened at 7:00 pm for the curtain raisers to take to stage and unlike other gospel artists, he invited secular musicians to perform at his concerts.

Among the curtain raisers were Chris Evans, famously known for his song Mulungi, Mesach Semakula, Doctor Hilderman and Judith Babirye who thrilled the crowd to the extent that they almost forgot it wasn’t her concert.

At a few minutes past 10:00 pm, Bugembe hopped onto the stage to perform Ani. The crowd countered positively, cheering and declaring they got saved. “He is the only man who makes fellow pastors feel ungodly’’, a fan was heard saying.

Even pastor Mondo Mugisha went down on his knees, his eyes full of tears and his hands up in the sky calling out for Bugembe’s God to save his church from the media.

Bugembe performed like it was a Sunday, yet a boisterous one, as he always took time to cast the gospel net of salvation which seemed to catch the whole crowd as they sung along, merrymaking like he was a Jesus of sorts, like the booze they were taking wasn’t a sin any more.

He too the crowd through his hits Kani, Lengera Embaata, and several others.

When it clocked 1:00pm, he remembered it was a gospel concert (it even had a cross on the stage) so he sung Ngambila akawalaako to conclude the well-attended show.
