Ndejje v MUBS

NDEJJE University will strengthen with striker Samuel Matovu, who will partner much more polished top scorer Ezra Senkenzi (four goals) in search of their third win in the University Football League against MUBS on Wednesday.

Ndejje lost the first leg 1-0 first round to high flying MUBS in Nakawa but the new coach Raymond Komaketch has sounded a warning to his counterpart Charles Ayieko.

Komaketch is looking for a win to dedicate to their departed tactician Simon Okumu, who died two weeks ago.

"I'm going to build on the result we got from Nkumba (1-1) over the weekend. I expect maximum points today because we have been together for a while and besides we have added new faces to the team," Komaketch said.

MUBS will be without their first choice goalkeeper Ramathan Masaba has not fully recovered after a convulsion in the game against KIU last week.

MUBS coach Charles Ayieko expects to start second choice Erias Mbago while Joab Twinamatsiko will be on the bench. MUBS will go into the match with a 3-0 win against KIU from their previous match.

"I know Ndejje plays a good game especially in passing the ball but I want Masaba to fully recover before he can play. I anticipate tougher times yet to come," Ayieko said.

But Komaketch warned that MUBS' tough time will come in Luweero today. "They were lucky to pick the narrow win at their ground. MUBS should come knowing that we understand all the corners of our turf more than them," he added.
