The Vice president Edward Ssekandi will set in motion the East African Military Games and Cultural event.
The annual show will roll off at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole this weekend.
At the Games, Kenyan athletes have been a dominant force in cross country.
But UPDF coach Gordon Ahimbisibwe believes that his team has what it takes to end Kenya’s dominance this time round.
The Games that will be spiced up with cultural events, will also have action in soccer, basketball and netball.
