The She Cranes finally arrived in Sydney on Sunday and are focused on staging a remarkable show at the 2015 Netball World Cup.

Hours after arrival, the Ugandan team later played World Cup title favourites New Zealand in a friendly but lost the match 67-46.

The result wasn’t demoralising considering the fact that the team was still recovering from the long flight.

New Zealand are currently second in the International Netball Federation rankings, just behind champions Australia. Uganda is 14th.

Meanwhile, some of the sport’s biggest names will gather behind the microphone when netball’s pinnacle event starts in Sydney on August 7.

Headlined by legendary players Liz Ellis, Sharelle McMahon, Catherine Cox and Temepara Bailey and broadcast leaders in netball Kelli Underwood, Mel McLaughlin, Anita Navin, Jenny Woods, Sue Gaudion and Dan Ryan the nine-strong commentary team will work across two playing venues calling the Netball World Cup for a variety of rights-holders across the world.

This commentary group will bring NWC2015 into more homes than ever before with the broadcast going out to Africa, Australia, Oceania and Europe.

NWC2015 broadcasters currently include FOX SPORTS (Australia), Network Ten (Australia), SKY Sport (New Zealand), SuperSport (Africa) and Sky Sport.
