Since 1998, the Government of Uganda is investing in domestic production and processing of vegetable oils and its by-products. The VODP is Uganda’s strategic effort to increase domestic vegetable oil production, address rural poverty by involving farmers in oil crops production and improve the health of the population through increased vegetable oil intake.
