BET award winner Eddy Kenzo returned home to a massive welcome by his fans, right from Entebbe Airport.
Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo’s winning of the prestigious Black Entertainment Television (BET) award late last month took the country by storm and there was renewed evidence of this as hundreds of his fans gathered at Entebbe international airport Tuesday to welcome him back home.
Kenzo won the ‘Viewer's Choice Best New International Artist’ award at the 2015 BET Awards held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles

The ‘Sitya Loss’ singer touched down at Entebbe International Airport clad in a slick blue suit, a black shirt and cool shades
Kenzo is still riding the wave of his hit single 'Sitya Loss' that had a video so captivating with well-choreographed dancing kids. State minister of agriculture Vincent Ssempijja (right), on behalf of government, thanked the musician for winning the accolade and representing Uganda
The mood at the airport oozed excitement as elated fans scrambled for a rare opportunity to land their hands on the coveted accolade
Crowds had to be controlled to clear the way for the popular musician out of the airport
Kenzo's baby mama Rema Namakula was there to welcome back her boo from abroad. She came along with their child
For Kenzo, this was as emotional as it could get!
And just like a star should be ushered back home, his fans did not hesitate to hoist him high up and make him feel on top of the world!
PRIDE OF A NATION: With a Ugandan flag wrapped around his neck, the BET award winner sat on top of an awaiting Convertible car with an interesting word emblazoned on it: SIPAPA ['I don't rush']. What a way to come back on home soil!
A highly entertaining local dance troupe was stationed at the airport to dance Kenzo back home. Hot day, great mood, huge homecoming!
