GIANTS Express, Victoria University and URA will be in action as the Premier League enters its second day this evening.

The heavyweights have done everything within their means to prepare for local sports’ biggest competition. Recruitments, pre-season camps and promises of improved pay this season have characterized the big teams’ build-up.

The Red Eagles, eager to reclaim back the title they won in the 2011-12 season, host Entebbe in a match coach Frank Anyau should easily win.

But perhaps it is Victoria University that have taken preparation a notch higher.

SCVU have in the build-up to today’s match been camping in a Jinja, an outing that coach Alex Isabirye says has been very fruitful.

“The team is gelling and we should be able to get a good result against Bright Stars,” said Isabirye.

He however noted that his only undoing could lie in the fact that he knows little about the super league debutantes.

Isabirye’s big guns Noah Semakula, Simon Okwi, Manko Kawesa and Godfrey Kateregga will all be in action. URA coach Paul Nkata is also raring to go.

“Save for Derrick Walulya, who is injured, I must say we are set for the season,” said the former Cranes midfielder after yesterday’s training session.
