Skin Samona Pool Club team captain Alfred ‘Black Sheep’ Gumikiriza has promised table leaders Gals 'fire' when the two teams clash in the national league on Sunday.

The epic tie at Casablanca Pub in Wandegeya that closes the end of the first round will have a good bearing between the top teams who shared 28 points.

Gals lead the 16-team event with a better average and to Gumikiriza his team will take charge.

“To others it is a big game but to us it is no big deal because Gals has never beaten us. We are focused to ensure we get three points,” the number one seed said of the top-of-the table encounter.

“All my players are OK. And the end of the day we should be on top of the table,” he added.

As the race for the National Senior League crown heats up, Scrap Buyers who lie behind with two points will have be out to maintain pressure as they take on Nakawa Rangers.

Gumikiriza will lead star studded Skin Samona who boast of other skilled hands from other players including Navy Matovu, Asuman Bukenya, Dan Mubiru and Nile Special Open champion Fahad Ssewankambo.

The race for the midway seems to be a three horse race between Gals, Skin Samona and Scrap Buyers (26 points).

Gal maintained a leg average lead over defending champions Skin Samona in nine matches after a 11-9 victory over Rotex last weekend.

A win either way will be a positive result for either Samona or Gals.

Hot Pool who share 18 points in fourth place together Jinja based Trust and Obey will be keen to keep their chances alive as they take on Rock Catalina.
