Woman held for having sex with 13-year-old boy

The Police in Mbarara have arrested two men and a mother of five children over their alleged involvement in rape and defilement offences in various areas in the district.

Polly Namaye, the Rwizi region Police spokesperson, said the woman was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy in Rubaaya, Kashari Mbarara.

"We are also holding two men, one is suspected of defiling and impregnating his 13-year-old step-daughter, while another one is suspected of raping a passenger," she added.

She identified the suspects as, Mable Kyomugisha, 28, a resident of Muko village, Rubaaya Sub County, Dauda Isaac 30, a resident of Kakoba central, Mbarara and Pison Nsasira, 30, a bodaboda cyclist in Mbarara town.

Kyomugisha allegedly lured her neighbour's 13-year-old boy into her house when her husband was not at home. Kyomugisha's husband had reported spent some time away from home working on a farm.

"Parents of the victim reported the suspect for having an affair with their child and were investigating a case of aggravated defilement. People tend to say that women don't defile but the law is clear when a woman is involved in a sexual affair with a minor boy and she will be charged," Namaye explained.

Dauda Isaac, another suspect is alleged to have defiled and impregnated his 13-year-old step daughter. Dauda reportedly turned on his victim when his wife was not at home and the victim is with four-months-old pregnancy.

 Meanwhile Nsasira, a boda boda cyclist is suspected to have raped and robbed a female passenger he transported on his motorcycle from Andrews, Kakiika to Kakoba at night.
He allegedly threatened to kill her if she tempted to make an alarm as he raped her.

She said the suspects would be subjected to an HIV test before being produced in court.
