Singer Naava Grey was at her usual best Thursday night at Gatto Matto, Bugolobi, singing through a number of her songs that have made her a name on the music scene.

On an evening that attracted a sizeable number of her fans, Grey sang for an hour or so alongside Janzi Band, doing songs like "Soka Lami," "Ninga Omuloge," "Nteredde" and others that thrilled everyone.

She did songs off her new 20-track album, 10 of them already out and others still getting the final touch in studio.

During her performance, the singer-songwriter took time off to barrack media personalities for "always claiming to know me when you do not know me well," by dedicating a song to them.

But before Naava Grey took to stage, the night had performances from upcoming and fast-rising artistes like Naira Ali who set up the mood.

Then Janzi Band gave attendees a ride of traditional folk music and some covers.

She burst onto the local music limelight in 2008 when she participated in the music competition, Tusker Project Fame, emerging semi-finalist.

Since then, she has gone on to keep her foot strong in music majoring in R&B and soul.
