OVER the last couple of months, Micho Sredojevic has been credited for Cranes’ impressive run in both the World Cup and Africa Nations Championship qualifiers.

He has been saluted for excelling in all his primary roles such as choosing the right tactics, selecting the right players, squeezing the best performances out of them and making tactical adjustments where necessary in all his four competitive games with the Cranes.

But while the Serbian acknowledges all the credit, he insists that his blistering start as the national team head coach would not have been without ‘his three unsung heroes’.

“I have coached in Sudan, Rwanda, South Africa and Tanzania but I must say I have felt born again working with my coaching staff of Sam Timbe, Fred Kajoba and Kefa Kisala.

“They have worked hard and advised me where need be. They are a committed group with whom we will achieve a lot,” Micho told New Vision Sport yesterday.

“Of course, I can’t forget the good work that the team doctor Ronald Kisolo has done. He has ensured that all players are free of injury and normally its staff like this that win games,” he added.

Kisolo was earlier last month praised for his concerted efforts in helping Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi recover from an ankle injury.

What surprised the entire nation was how Kisolo helped a player with an injury that officially takes four to six weeks to heal, miraculously recover in literally just a day.
