Besigye, Lukwago granted bail

Opposition leaders Dr. Kiiza Besigye and Erias Lukwago have been granted bail in case of causing public disorder.

Makindye Court presided over by magistrate, Gladys Kamasanyu, charged the duo with two others for organising an illegal gathering last month at Nsambya Sharing Hall and defying police orders.

The co-accused are: Ismael Senyondo, Besigye's driver and Jethro Nuwagaba his personal aide.
The case has been adjourned to July 6.

Speaking to the press outside court, Besigye accused the Police of being biased by denying the opposition a chance to reach out to the population.
