Museveni attends Martyrs Day prayers

President Yoweri Museveni has attended prayers at both the Catholic and the Anglican shrines in celebrations to mark Martyrs Day.

At the Catholic Shrine, the President   welcomed both local foreign pilgrims to Namugongo.

The President said it is not religious to be poor imploring the clerics to join government in its efforts to improve household incomes.

He said the Government will work with the Church to redevelop the Martyrs Shrines and its surroundings.
