Bishop Makumbi burial for Thursday

Fallen West Buganda Diocese Bishop, Godfrey Makumbi, will be laid to rest at Kako Church on Thursday.

Makumbi, 52, succumbed to throat cancer on Sunday evening at the Cancer Institute Mulago in Kampala. Initially, he underwent a series of operations in South Africa.

Rt Rev Godfrey Makumbi was consecrated Bishop of West Buganda Diocese in 2011. He replaced retired Bishop Samuel Keefa Kamya.

Bishop Makumbi’s priority programs have been education, health and sanitation.
