Kenyan pilgrims who spent the night at Namagunga set off at 4:30am for the final stretch of their long trek to Namugongo.
By 7:00am the group was approaching Mukono town. Many of them were limping and had to be supported by stronger colleagues.

They don't plan to stop for a break anywhere until they arrive at the Martyrs shrine in Namugongo.
Along the way good Samaritans are offering them bananas, sugarcane, mangoes and other fruits free of charge.
Despite swollen feet and fatigue, the pilgrims are determined. One lady said "this is the final lap. I can't give up now that I've reached here.'
