ARTHUR Kyobe was unstoppable as he hit a second ton in two matches to down pre-league favourites Wanderers in the Multiple Industries Division I cricket league action at Lugogo on Sunday.

But the discipline in the Division II Cricket action continued to dwindle as another club Premier walked off the pitch protesting an umpire’s decision - the fourth in the lower league this season.

Kyobe was on fire, standing tall as his support batsmen crumbled.

The opening batsman watched as Wanderers’ bowler Moses Kimera (3/33) destroyed his would be partners Abu Sseguya (00) before bowling Davis Turinawe (17) and Deus Muhumuza (00).

Benjamin Musoke (31) tried to push him on but he was caught by wicket keeper Dennis Musaali off Humphrey Kayondo with the scoreboard reading 116 runs.

Frank Nsubuga came in but he was run out by David Mwesigwa before Kyobe was caught by Davis Karashani off a Dennis Tabby delivery at 107 runs. Tornado trudged on and pushed the score to 178 runs for seven in the 50 overs.

Wanderers’ chase was, however, appalling and Kayondo was run out with only two runs on the scoreboard, before Arthur Ziraba and Karashani were trapped leg before wicket for ducks by Asadu Seyigga and Muhumuza respectively.

Despite Dennis (09*), Hamzah Saleh (07) and Timothy Kayigwa (07) trying to steady the innings, Trevor Kapere, Richard Odong and Musaali also went out for nought.

David Mwesigwa (02) failed to give U-19 star Arnold Otwani (30) the support he needed as they all collapsed at 94 runs in 29.5 overs.
