Kasiwukira murder was well planned - DPP

The widow of slain businessman, Eria Sebunnya Bugembe popularly known as Kasiwukira has been committed to High Court for trial.

The widow of slain businessman, Eria Sebunnya Bugembe popularly known as Kasiwukira has been committed to High Court for trial.

Sarah Nabikolo, her sister Sandra Nakungu and police constable Jaden Ashraf were committed by Makindye Magistrates' Court Grade One Magistrate George Watyekere.

This was after prosecution led by Beatrice Odong presented an indictment report to court to have the accused persons committed to High Court for trial since investigations into the case were complete.

"I pray that you commit the accused persons to High Court for trial because the police have completed investigations," she said.

According to the indictment report by the DPP, the accused persons had developed a plan to kill Kasiwukira and went ahead to execute unlawful purpose, finally succeeding on October 17, 2014," states DDP report.

Prosecution alleges that on October 17, 2014 at about 6:00am in Muyenga diplomatic zone the trio murdered Kasiwukira.

Kasiwukira was knocked down by a speeding car as he jogged early morning in the neighborhood of Muyenga.
