Andrew Owor has bounced back as Uganda Rugby Union President for the second term in an election undermined by chaos at Silver Springs Hotel Bugolobi.

Owor was declared unopposed by returning officer, Dunstan Busulwa nullified Paul Sigombe and Andrew Owinyi nominations as president and vice president respectively.

Godwin Kayangwe was elected secretary after defeating the incumbent Michael Wandera by 26-19 votes.

"Unity is something that members must be willing to achieve, but the strategy to achieve it I leave it to the executive members," Owor stated after the winning the presidency.

"We need to involve all the stakeholders but if members don't want unity and team work then it is going to be hard for us," Owor added.

However, the Sigombe group has signed a resolution to force the Executive to call for a special AGM which will tackle issues of constitution amendment.
