Stella Nantumbwe crowned Miss Uganda 2013

Twenty two year- old Stella Nantumbwe last night beat 21 girls from various regions of Uganda to become the new beauty queen at a colourful ceremony held at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

Twenty two year- old Stella Nantumbwe last night beat 21 girls from various regions of Uganda to become the new beauty queen at a colourful ceremony held at Serena Hotel in Kampala.

Anita Kyarimpa, 18, a Senior Six leaver from Kabale was announced first runner up and Sarah Amongin from Bukedea in Eastern Uganda was second runner-up.

Natumbwe, a business computing graduate from Greenwich University, left with the Miss Uganda crown, a brand new Mercedes Benz and sh18m. she will also represent Uganda at the world pageant later this year.

The search for 2013/14 Miss Uganda, partly sponsored by Vision Group’s Kampala Sun and Kezzi Entertainment, has been on for the past two months with the scouts scouring the Northern, Western, Central and Eastern region for the queens.

In Judith Acayo (Northern) Anita Kyarimpa (Western), Stella Nantumbwe (Central) and Margaret Ilwanu (Eastern), they got the regional queens who won the first four slots of the top 20 finalists.
