Buganda Road Primary Schoolgirl found murdered

The body of a 14-year-old girl has been discovered at Golf Course along Yusufu Lule Road in Kampala.

The deceased who has been identified as Rema Namakula was a primary five pupil at Buganda Road Primary School and was residing in Katanga with her parents.

The body was found by a caretaker at the golf club who rang the Police that arrived and arrested a man who was found sleeping nearby.

The girl's father, Abdu Yusuf said they were informed by their neighbour who works at Nakumatt, Garden City that the body of their little girl, who had not returned from school on Wednesday, had been found at the golf course.

Witnesses at the scene said the area which is never lit in the night is a dangerous spot.

Acting Kira Road chief, SSeguya Rogers, confirmed the incident and the arrest of the suspect who was found sleeping nearby saying he would help police with investigations.

The body was taken to Mulago Hospital for post mortem.
