International Sports Press Association (AIPS) president Giovanni Merlo is in the country.
Merlo jetted in last night aboard a brussels airlines flight and was received at Entebbe by former USPA president Mark Namanya and president Sabiiti Muwanga and his deputy Rita Aliguma in company of a few USPA members.

He is set to hold talks with Sports minister Charles Bakabulindi, Uganda Olympic Committee, FUFA and the Uganda Cricket Association on Thursday before attending a sports media convention on Friday at Cooper Chimney Restaurant in Lugogo.
Merlo will share his experiences with journalists from Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopia and hosts Uganda.

He will thereafter join USPA at the Nile Special USPA 2014 gala at Imperial Royale Hotel where outstanding sportsmen will be crowned.
