Local musician Madinah Nambooze Kansime aka Hajati Madinah of the “Bibuuza” hit fame is paralysed, according to reports from Mulago hospital.

Bibuuza was hospitalised on Monday at Ward 4B, a day another musician, Harriet Kisakye was laid to rest at St. Gyaviira Catholic church in Bunnamwaya having succumbed to what is believed to have been cancer.

Medics at Mulago Hospital discovered that a nerve that runs to the brain got damaged after a fall the singer had recently.

The discovery was made after Hajati Madinah was taken to KADIC hospital for a neurological examination among other tests.

Medics who spoke to us on condition of anonymity, intimated that the damaged nerve caused Bibuuza paralysis in the legs and now uses a wheel chair for mobility.

They also revealed that the 28-year-old singer has hypertension which worsed her condition.

The tests at KADIC hospital were done by Dr. Alfred Bulamu who sent the report to Mulago Hospital.

Bibuuza's condition is alarming; she breathes with difficulty, can hardly speak and has to be supported even while turning on her hospital bed.

When she recognises a face all she says is: "Pray for me because, it seems I'm also dieing..."

Maama Fiina foots medical bills

The head of Uganda's herbalists’ association Sylvia Namutebi aka Maama Fiina on Wednesday paid the ailing singer a visit and cleared her medical bills.

Maama Fiina also gave her money for upkeep as well as clearing rent arrears of sh1,250,000.

She also facilitated the treatment at KADIC hospital. She pledged to fully cover Bibuuza's medical expenses after pleading with the medical team at Mulago to do whatever they could to save her life.

At her bedside were gospel artist Judith Babirye and Bukedde TV's Fifi Da Queen.
