USPA will host a sports media convention that will be presided over by AIPS president Giovanni Merlo on Friday at Cooper Chimney Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala.
USPA President Sabiiti Muwanga made the announcement after receiving sh6m from Standard Chartered Bank for the event which will be followed by the Nile Special USPA Gala on Saturday.
“We are very grateful and proud of StanChart that in the shortest time we approached them, they managed to approve our request. Thank you for being our good partners and we promise that we shall account for it,” Muwanga stated.
The sports media convention will attract journalists from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi. Standard Chartered Bank’s acting Head of Corporate Affairs Cynthia Mpanga promised continued support to USPA activities.
“We have partnered with USPA for the past eight years during the road safety campaign and we shall continue doing so,” Mpanga added.
AIPS president Merlo arrives tomorrow aboard SN Brussels.
