Hungarian doctors arrive to give medical support

A team of seven medical experts from Hungarian Trade and cultural Centre have arrived in the country to treat patients with tropical diseases and offer pediatric services

A team of seven medical experts from Hungarian Trade and cultural Centre have arrived in the country to treat patients with tropical diseases and offer pediatric services.

 

The team was led by Director Hungarian Trade and cultural Centre Blaze Lucks who is the coordinator accompanied by  Dr. Karina Kozari, Dr. Krisztina Kiss, Dr. Gyorgy Szabo, and Dorottya Patay specialized in tropical disease in African.

 

“It is through our offices established in Uganda how ofcollaboration to bring in investors in for the last two years that is how we got this medical team to come and support community. We also have established charity mission in Hoima” said Blaze.

 

The State Minister for Trade Industry and Trade James Mutende received the team at Entebbe International Airport.

 

“We are going to organize medical camps in Mbale for a period of one month to work with the health centres four. And shall focus on treating diabetes, pressure, Malaria, typhoid in addition to other medical support”, said Blaze.

 

He said people from the rural areas will not need to travel for treatment in Mbale referral hospital but shall be found in their counties.

 

 The medical team will also travel to Luwero district to access where we have established an agriculture site where we are going to put permanent home the medical personnel for the community, he said Blaze

 

Mutende said the team will offer treatment to patients who have failed see medical experts for those particular diseases. We were able to get in touch with these friends through the building the international relations for our country.

 

“Some of the doctors on the team have specialized in tropical diseases and have done enough research on it”, Mutende said.

 

He said that the treatment will be totally free and they will operate in areas where there is lack equipment to treat communicable diseases. These experts will work with medical staff and share their experience on ground.

 

 While in Mbale, they will operate in the divisions of Northern, Industrial Division and Wanale on rotation basis daily.

 

Doctor Gyargy Szabo said his trained to manage tropical diseases and hopes to deal with a numbers of patients and also with different diseases.

 

He said they are operating in Mali, Malawi, Congo and Malaysia.
